I miss biking

I miss biking
Cmon look how happy I was!

Ever since moving to Stuttgart, there's one thing I've really started to miss: riding my bike. Stuttgart is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but the hills here are no joke! Living right in the city center means everything around us is either just around the corner or straight uphill. So my trusty bike wasn't getting much action.

Back when I lived in Aachen, things were quite different. I had a great group of friends who loved biking as much as I did. We would regularly meet up and ride all the way into the Netherlands and back. Those rides were amazing! Sometimes we'd even set out after storms, riding through muddy forest paths, occasionally having to maneuver around fallen trees. Sure, it was messy, but those adventures made for some of my favorite memories.

Since my move to Stuttgart last year, my daily routine changed completely. My workplace is pretty far from my apartment, but luckily, there's an S-Bahn stop right in front of my building that takes me straight there. Because of that convenience, my bike sadly started collecting dust. Eventually, I decided it deserved better and passed it along to my dad.

Even though giving away my bike made sense, I still miss those rides. More than that, I miss having biking buddies to explore new trails with. There’s just something special about hitting the road with friends, sharing laughs, overcoming little challenges, and making memories together.

Here are a few snapshots from those good old biking days—I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
